Hyperia City Gets a Proper Reveal Window

We already knew Hyperia City was coming to local game stores for prerelease on 16 October 2026, with the worldwide release following on 23 October 2026. What the D23 panel added was context and cards. Ravensburger walked attendees through a virtual tour of the city's neighbourhoods, and in doing so quietly dropped several new location cards — the first glimpse of how Hyperia City's urban setting will translate into board-state geography.

The set's musical framing is becoming clearer too. Three cards had already been previewed ahead of D23: Miguel Rivera – Street Musician, Héctor Rivera – Street Musician, and a Song action card called Un Poco Loco — all from Pixar's Coco, which makes its Lorcana glimmer debut here. The decision to name a card directly after one of the film's songs, rather than a character, signals that musical numbers could serve as thematic touchstones throughout the whole set, not just flavour dressing. With Coco leading the charge, an influx of Song action cards looks likely.

The set's main numbered checklist is understood to sit at 204 cards, though Ravensburger has not published a full card list yet, and collector treatments beyond the standard checklist are expected to push the total higher — as has been the case with every recent Lorcana set.

Figment, Mickey, and the Iconic Treatment

Two character announcements stood out from the panel. First: Figment — the beloved Epcot dragon — is finally coming to Disney Lorcana in Hyperia City. It has been one of the most requested characters in the community for years, and the confirmation drew an audible reaction from the audience.

Second: Mickey Mouse will receive the Iconic card treatment in Hyperia City, joining Minnie Mouse and Donald Duck in new glimmer appearances. Card details for all three have not yet been revealed, but the Iconic rarity — introduced in Attack of the Vine! — has already proven to be one of the most sought-after chase treatments in the game, so a Mickey Iconic will be on every collector's radar from now until October.

An Official Digital Client Is Coming

Perhaps the single biggest announcement of the evening had nothing to do with a specific card. Ravensburger confirmed that an official digital client for Disney Lorcana is in development, coming to both desktop and mobile. The game has had several well-regarded fan-made online tools over the years, but an official platform changes the picture entirely — it opens the door to ranked play, event support, and a route into the game for players who do not live near a Play Hub.

Ravensburger described it as coming "around the corner", which suggests a 2026 or very early 2027 launch, though no firm date was given. For UK players especially, where Play Hub coverage outside major cities can be patchy, this is genuinely welcome news.

The Bigger Picture for 2026 and Beyond

The D23 panel confirmed that Ravensburger is planning sets through 2029 and beyond, and the 2027 roadmap got a brief mention too: the first set of that year will be themed around Pixar's Onward, meaning four consecutive Lorcana sets will have been led by or built around Pixar properties by the time Hyperia City's direct successor arrives. That is a notable strategic shift from the game's more classic Disney fantasy roots, and one worth tracking if you are building collections around specific franchises.
