Everything you need to know about using TCG Listing — from creating an account to buying, making offers, building a Wish List, and selling your cards. Search below, or open a topic to read the steps.
We're adding short video walkthroughs — where you see a ▶ Watch the video button, click it to follow along on YouTube.
Getting started
You need a free account to buy, sell, save a Wish List or message sellers. It takes under a minute.
- Click Sign up in the top-right of any page.
- Enter your email address and choose a password.
- Check your inbox for a 6-digit verification code and enter it to confirm your email.
- You're in! You can browse straight away and start buying.
Do I need an account just to browse?
No — anyone can browse and search cards. You only need an account to buy, sell, save a Wish List or message a seller.
I didn't get my verification email.
Check your spam/junk folder first. The code can take a couple of minutes. If it still hasn't arrived, try signing up again or contact support@tcglisting.co.uk.
Is it free?
Yes. Creating an account and listing cards is completely free. We only charge a small commission when you make a sale (see Fees explained).
Search the whole catalogue — Pokémon (EN & JP), One Piece, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Lorcana and more — and open any card to see who's selling it and at what price.
- Use the search bar at the top of any page. You can type a card name, set, or even a grade (e.g. "psa 10 charizard").
- Pick a game from the menu to browse by set.
- On a card's page you'll see every seller's listing, the price history, and a recent eBay UK price guide so you know what's fair.
- Tap the ♡ heart on any card to add it to your Wish List.
What's the "eBay UK Market Price" on a card page?
It's a guide showing recent eBay UK prices for that card, so you can quickly judge whether a listing is a good deal. It's for reference only and updates regularly.
Can I search in Japanese?
Our Japanese sets are listed under their romanised names — search the English/romanised name or the collector number for the best results.
Buying
Add cards to your basket and pay securely with card via Stripe. Your basket is from a single seller at a time, so postage is combined into one charge.
- On a card or listing, click Add to cart.
- Open your cart (top-right). Your basket holds items from one seller at a time — if you add another seller's item, we'll ask whether to keep or replace your basket.
- Click Checkout, confirm your delivery address and postage, and pay securely with your card.
- You'll get an order confirmation email, and you can track the order under Your Orders.
Why can I only buy from one seller at a time?
Each seller ships their own parcel, so keeping a basket to one seller means one combined postage charge and one delivery — simpler and cheaper for you.
How is postage calculated?
Postage is a single charge per order — the highest postage option across your basket — never added up per card. So buying several cards from one seller still means one postage cost.
What's the small admin fee at checkout?
We add a 10p buyer admin fee per item. That's the only buyer fee — there's no membership or listing cost.
Are my card details safe?
Yes. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your full card details.
On listings where the seller has enabled it, you can haggle eBay-style: send your price and the seller can accept, decline, or send you a counter-offer.
- On a listing that shows Make an offer, click it and enter your price.
- The seller can accept, decline, or counter. You'll be notified by email and in the Offers area (the handshake icon in the top bar).
- If they counter, you can accept or decline their price.
- When an offer is accepted, the card is reserved for you for 24 hours — click Buy now at agreed price to check out at the price you settled on.
Where do I see my offers?
Click the handshake icon in the top bar, or go to /offers. It shows offers you've made and their status, with a badge when something needs your attention.
How long does an offer last?
An offer (or counter-offer) expires after 24 hours if it isn't actioned. Once accepted, you have 24 hours to complete the purchase before the reservation is released.
Can I change or withdraw my offer?
Yes — while an offer is still pending you can withdraw it from the Offers page.
Why don't I see a Make an offer button?
Offers are optional per listing — the seller has to switch them on. If you don't see the button, that seller isn't accepting offers on that item.
Save the cards you're chasing and let the deals come to you. We'll email you when a watched card drops in price, comes back in stock, or hits a target price you set.
- Tap the ♡ heart on any card to add it to your Wish List.
- Open your Wish List from the heart icon in the top bar, or go to /wishlist.
- Optionally set a target price on a card — we'll email you the moment a listing reaches it.
- Sit back: we check your watched cards daily and email you about price drops, restocks and target hits.
How often will I get alerts?
At most one email a day, and only when something actually changes — a meaningful price drop, a card coming back in stock, or your target price being met.
How do I stop watching a card?
Tap the filled heart again on the card, or remove it from your Wish List page.
Got a question before you buy? Message a seller directly — it's all kept safely on TCG Listing.
- On a seller's storefront, click Message (you'll need to be signed in).
- Type your question and send. The seller is notified and can reply.
- See all your conversations under the chat icon in the top bar, or at /messages.
Will I know when a seller replies?
Yes — the chat icon shows an unread count, and we'll email you when you get your first unread message in a conversation.
Should I arrange payment by message?
No — always keep payments on TCG Listing. It's the only way you're covered. Paying a seller directly outside the platform isn't protected.
Track your order, confirm when it arrives, and leave feedback to help other buyers and reward great sellers.
- Track your order under Your Orders. You'll see it move from Paid to Dispatched to Delivered.
- When your card arrives, confirm delivery on the order page.
- Leave feedback (positive, neutral or negative) plus optional star-ratings for things like item-as-described and dispatch time.
- Loved the seller? Follow their store to see their new listings first.
My order hasn't arrived — what do I do?
First message the seller. If you can't resolve it, see our Refund & Returns and Buyer Protection policies, or contact support@tcglisting.co.uk.
Can I change my feedback?
You leave one feedback per order. The seller can post a single public reply to it.
Selling
Selling is free to start. You'll verify your details (KYC) and connect Stripe so you can get paid securely.
- Click Become a Seller (or go to /seller/kyc).
- Enter your personal details and verify your email, then choose your store name (this must be unique — it's your storefront address).
- Submit for approval. Once approved, connect your Stripe account so payouts can reach your bank.
- You're ready to list! Head to your Seller Dashboard.
Why do I need to verify my identity?
Identity verification (KYC) keeps the marketplace safe and is required to handle payments and payouts. It's a standard step for any platform that moves money.
What's the difference between store name and business name?
Your store name (display name) is unique and forms your storefront address. A business name is optional and separate. Public pages show your store name.
Why connect Stripe?
Stripe handles your payouts securely and sends your earnings to your bank. We never hold your money.
There are three ways to list: add cards one at a time, bulk-upload a spreadsheet, or simply photograph a stack and let us recognise them.
- Manual: go to List an item, pick the category (single, sealed, graded or bundle), search for the card, set the condition, price and postage, add photos, and publish.
- CSV bulk upload: upload a spreadsheet of cards (we also accept the common TCGplayer/CardUploader export). Set a default postage for the whole file if you like.
- List from photos (scan): upload photos of your cards — we recognise each one and pre-fill the condition, a suggested price and postage. Review the rows and publish.
How many photos do I need?
Singles need a front and back (2). Graded cards need 3, and sealed/bundle items need 1. Cards listed from a photo scan go live on that single recognised photo.
What condition options are there?
Mint, Near-Mint, Lightly Played, Moderately Played, Heavily Played and Damaged. Be honest — it protects your reputation.
The scan didn't find my exact card.
Each review row has a Search catalogue option — search for the exact print and pick it yourself, then publish.
Is there a fee to list?
No. Listing is always free — you only pay commission when an item sells.
Reward bulk buyers with tiered discounts — for example "buy 3, save 10%" — and optionally throw in free postage. You set it once and it applies automatically.
- Go to your Seller Profile and open Multi-buy settings.
- Add one or more tiers — each has a minimum number of items and a discount percentage (and optionally free postage).
- Decide which listings are eligible: switch on Multi-buy on a listing, or use "apply to all".
- That's it — when a buyer's basket hits a tier, the discount and any free postage apply automatically at checkout.
Who pays for the discount?
You (the seller) absorb the discount. Our commission is then charged on the discounted amount, so you're never charged commission on money you discounted.
What does the buyer see?
Eligible listings show a Multi-buy badge, and the basket nudges buyers to "add N more to save X%".
How many tiers can I set?
Up to 5 tiers, each needing at least 2 items, up to a 50% discount. The best qualifying tier wins.
Let buyers haggle. Turn on offers per listing, with an optional minimum you'll auto-decline below.
- When creating or editing a listing, switch on Allow offers.
- Optionally set a minimum acceptable price — offers below it are declined automatically.
- When an offer arrives, accept, decline or counter it from the Offers area (handshake icon) — you get one counter round.
- Accepting reserves the card for that buyer for 24 hours so they can pay at the agreed price.
Do I have to accept offers?
No — offers are optional and off by default. Turn them on only for the listings you're happy to negotiate on.
What happens to my commission on an accepted offer?
Our commission is charged on the agreed price, not the original asking price.
When you make a sale, post the card promptly and mark it dispatched. Your payout is released once the buyer's delivery is confirmed.
- You'll be emailed when you make a sale — see it under Seller → Orders.
- Pack the card safely and post it using a method that meets the order's postage option.
- Mark the order as Dispatched.
- Once delivery is confirmed, your payout (minus fees) is released to your connected Stripe account.
When exactly do I get paid?
Payouts are released after the order is delivered and confirmed, via Stripe Connect to your bank.
Is there a minimum payout?
Yes — the minimum payout is £10.
Can I cancel an order?
You can cancel before you've dispatched it (this rejects the sale and fully refunds the buyer). Once an order is dispatched it can't be cancelled.
Your account & trust
Listing is free. We only earn when you sell, and everything is transparent at checkout.
What does it cost to sell?
Listing is free. When an item sells, sellers pay a 3% commission on the item price plus postage. Stripe's payment processing fee (roughly 1.5% + 20p in the UK) is also passed through.
What do buyers pay?
Buyers pay the item price, the order's postage (one combined charge), and a 10p admin fee per item. No memberships, no hidden costs.
What's the minimum payout?
£10. Earnings are paid to your connected Stripe account once orders are delivered.
What are the postage options?
Free, 2nd Class (98p), 1st Class (£1.95) or Tracked-48 (£3.95). The order is charged the single highest option across the basket.
Reputation is how buyers find sellers they can trust. Build yours with great service.
- After each delivered order, the buyer can leave feedback and optional detailed star-ratings.
- Your storefront shows your % positive, items sold and follower count.
- Reply once, publicly, to any feedback to give your side or say thanks.
- Buyers can follow your store and get a digest of your new listings.
How is % positive calculated?
It's positive feedback divided by positive plus negative feedback. Neutral feedback doesn't count against you.
How do I get more followers?
List regularly, describe cards accurately, dispatch quickly and communicate well — followers see your new listings first.
Manage your details, email preferences and unsubscribe options any time.
- Open Account from the top-right menu.
- Update your email preferences to choose which updates you receive.
- Every marketing email also has a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom.
How do I stop newsletter emails?
Use the Unsubscribe link at the foot of any newsletter, or manage it under Account → preferences. Important emails about your orders are always sent.
How do I reset my password?
Use the Forgot password link on the login page — we'll email you a reset code.
