Disney Lorcana: Hyperia City — Confirmed Cards, Ink Drops, and What to Expect Before October
By TCG Listing · 30 Aug 2026

With prerelease just seven weeks away, Hyperia City's spoiler season is picking up pace. Here's everything confirmed so far — from new Iconic cards to the brand-new Ink Drops mechanic.
Disney Lorcana's fourteenth set, Hyperia City, is now firmly in the spotlight. With a prerelease date of 16 October 2026 and a wide retail release following on 23 October, UK collectors have just under seven weeks to get up to speed on what's coming. Spoiler season is well under way, and the picture of Set 14 is starting to come into focus.
The Set at a Glance
Hyperia City is headlined by Pixar's Coco, making it the first Lorcana set to feature the franchise. The name itself is a nod to Hyperion Studio — the Walt Disney Studios lot that operated from 1926 to 1940 and is where Mickey Mouse was first created — giving the set a rich thematic foundation rooted in Disney's own history.
The prerelease will take place on 16 October at local game stores, followed by the full mass market release on 23 October everywhere Lorcana products are sold. Hyperia City does not trigger any rotation; it joins the existing Core Constructed card pool, so your current decks remain valid.
Cards Confirmed So Far
Officially revealed cards are still relatively few, but there are some standout names already on the table. Two Iconic-rarity cards have been confirmed: Merida — Formidable Archer (from Wilds Unknown) and Minnie Mouse — Sweetheart Princess (listed as Fabled). These Iconic cards represent Lorcana's premium chase tier, and their early confirmation signals that Hyperia City will continue the high-end collector appeal established in recent sets.
On the location side, five location cards were showcased during the D23 panel, including Land of the Dead – Marigold Bridge — a direct tie-in to Coco's vibrant afterlife setting. Given the musical nature of Coco and how that theme is being applied to the revealed cards, expect a notable influx of Song action cards in this set. Songs have always been a cornerstone of Lorcana's identity, and a Coco-led set is the perfect vehicle to push that archetype further.
An early Hyperia City card featuring Héctor Rivera from Coco was also shown at D23 as part of the exclusive 2026 D23 Collection — a foil set that gave on-site attendees their first physical look at Set 14. Mickey Mouse and his classic friends are also confirmed to feature prominently throughout the set.
The New Mechanic: Ink Drops
The headline mechanical addition for Hyperia City is Ink Drops — one-time bursts of ink power that both heroes and villains can use during play. This is a significant design addition: unlike permanent abilities, Ink Drops appear to be single-use activations, adding a new layer of resource management and decision-making to games. Whether Ink Drops will slot comfortably into existing aggressive strategies or open up entirely new archetypes remains to be seen as more cards are revealed, but the mechanic has already generated considerable discussion in the community.
What's Coming After Hyperia City
For collectors thinking further ahead, Ravensburger has also confirmed that Into the Inkdark (Set 15) is next in the calendar, and that set will introduce Lorcana's first-ever Collector Boosters — a product format that Magic: The Gathering players will recognise immediately. That's a significant development for the game's collector ecosystem, though details remain sparse for now.
How to Prepare as a UK Collector
Spoiler season for a Lorcana set tends to accelerate sharply in the four to five weeks before prerelease, so expect a steady flow of new card reveals throughout September. Keep an eye on Ravensburger's official channels and the Lorcana community hubs for the latest confirmations.
If you're planning to play at prerelease on 16 October, now is the time to check in with your local game store about allocation and sign-ups — Attack of the Vine! prerelease events faced stock pressures earlier this year, and demand for Hyperia City is expected to be similarly strong. For singles and sealed product, TCG Listing will be stocking Hyperia City at launch, so you can pre-plan your pulls and pick up any chase cards you miss on the day.
