Disney Lorcana Into the Inkdark: Collector Boosters, Hades, and Everything Confirmed for February 2027

With Hyperia City hitting shelves this week, it is the perfect moment to look ahead to what Ravensburger has planned next for Disney Lorcana. Into the Inkdark, Set 15, is confirmed for 12 February 2027 — and the announcements made at D23 2026 suggest it could be the most ambitious Lorcana set to date.

A Villain-Led Story

Into the Inkdark shifts the game's focus squarely onto Disney's rogues' gallery, with Hades taking centre stage as players work to unravel his latest scheme. It is a notable tonal shift after the creativity and colour of Hyperia City, and one that competitive players and collectors alike should find compelling. The Inkdark framing suggests a darker, more mysterious setting — a real departure from the urban bustle of Set 14.

Ravensburger has confirmed the set is planned as part of a steady four-sets-per-year schedule that extends through 2029 and beyond, so Into the Inkdark is very much the first chapter of what the company is calling year four of Lorcana.

Collector Boosters Arrive

The headline structural change is the introduction of Collector Boosters. Starting with Into the Inkdark, higher-rarity cards will appear more frequently in these new booster products, which will be part of every new set release going forward. For UK collectors who chase Illustrious cards, Special Illustration Rares, and other premium pulls, this is a significant development — it mirrors a format that has proven popular in Magic: The Gathering and gives dedicated collectors a more targeted way to hunt the cards they want.

Illustrious cards — the first serialised cards in Lorcana, with only 23 copies of each printed per set — were introduced in Hyperia City. Into the Inkdark will continue that tradition, meaning the scarcest cards in the hobby will remain a fixture of the product line.

Cosmic Quest and the Bigger Roadmap

Into the Inkdark is not the only future set on the horizon. Cosmic Quest, planned for Q2 2027, takes the story into space, with cosmic-inspired glimmers such as Ariel in her astrosuit. Ravensburger has also confirmed that its plans for Disney Lorcana extend through 2029, with regular expansions arriving roughly every three months.

For UK players, that kind of long-term commitment from the publisher is reassuring. Organised play is set to continue expanding alongside the card releases, with large-scale competitive tournaments planned worldwide — good news for anyone who has been building competitive decks through the Hyperia City meta.

What to Do Right Now

If you have not yet attended a Hyperia City prerelease event, local game stores are running them until the general release on 23 October — so there is still time to get your hands on the new Ink Drop mechanic before Set 14 fully launches. Then, with nearly four months until Into the Inkdark, you have a solid window to digest Hyperia City, build your collection, and start thinking about how a villain-heavy, Collector Booster-supported set might reshape the format.
