One Piece Card Game OP-17: All Six Leaders Revealed — Whitebeard, Shanks, Kaido, Big Mom, Luffy, and More

The OP-17 spoiler season is now in full swing, and all six leaders for The World's Strongest Warriors have leaked ahead of the August 26 global launch. Here is everything confirmed so far.

The heavy reveal window for One Piece Card Game OP-17: The World's Strongest Warriors is well and truly open. With the set landing on 26 August 2026 — simultaneously in Japan and English for the very first time in the game's history — the pace of leaks and official previews has accelerated sharply this week. Here is a full breakdown of what has been confirmed so far.

The Set at a Glance

OP-17 is Bandai's 4th Anniversary Booster Pack, built around the Elbaf arc and the Yonko. It is a landmark release for more than its theme: this is the first mainline One Piece TCG booster to launch on the same date in every region worldwide. There is no longer a gap between the Japanese and English windows, which means UK collectors can pre-order with confidence and compete on equal footing from day one.

The set contains 126+1 card types, including 6 Leaders, 45 Commons, 30 Uncommons, 26 Rares, 10 Super Rares, 2 SECs, 6 SP cards, 1 Treasure Rare, and 1 DON!! card. The Treasure Rare rarity, which sits above Secret Rare, remains unrevealed — it will almost certainly be the headline chase card of the set.

All Six Leaders

Four of the six leaders are now in the wild from tracker networks and leaks. Here is the confirmed list:

  • Edward Newgate (Red) — OP17-001: Five Life / 5,000 Power. His ability triggers on the opponent's attack — once per turn, you may trash a card from your hand to give your Leader or one of your Characters +4,000 power during the battle. A powerful, reactive defensive tool for the Whitebeard Pirates.

  • Shanks (Green) — OP17-020: Five Life / 5,000 Power. His Activate Main ability lets you trash a card or rest a DON!! to lock one of your opponent's rested Characters out of their next Refresh Phase — persistent pressure that disrupts the opponent's tempo.

  • Kaido (Purple) — OP17-058: Five Life / 5,000 Power. Triggers on both your attack and your opponent's attack, spending one DON!! to apply −2,000 power to an opposing Character. Versatile on both turns and likely to be a strong defensive and offensive option.

  • Charlotte Linlin / Big Mom (Yellow) — OP17-099: Five Life / 5,000 Power. When attacking, you may discard a card from your hand to force your opponent into a choice: either discard a card and add the top of their deck to their Life, or discard a card from your hand while you add the top of your deck to your Life. A disruptive, high-decision-point leader that suits Big Mom's chaotic playstyle.

Two further leaders — a Black Luffy and one additional slot — have been referenced but not fully detailed at the time of writing. Expect those to follow as the spoiler campaign moves into its final weeks.

Notable Cards Already Revealed

Beyond the leaders, several high-rarity cards have surfaced:

  • Loki (OP17-119) — SEC: Cost 6 / 8,000 Power, Black, Giants/Elbaf typing. This Character gains +12 cost and +3,000 power on your opponent's turn. On Play, it KOs any number of your opponent's Characters with a combined total cost of 4 or less — a board-wipe effect at the SEC slot that fits perfectly with the Giants theme.
  • Shanks (OP17-022) — SR: Cost 10 / 12,000 Power (Slash), Four Emperors/Red-Haired Pirates. Rush. On Play, set up to 2 of your DON!! cards as active and rest all of your opponent's Characters. An immediate, game-swinging threat.

  • Kaido (OP17-063) — SR: Cost 10 / 12,000 Power (Strike). All your Characters without a Counter gain +1,000 Counter. His Activate Main ability spends one DON!! to negate the effect of and KO an opponent's Character with cost 6 or less, if Kaido was played this turn.

  • Charlotte Linlin (OP17-???) — SR: Cost 10 / 12,000 Power (Special). During your turn, all your Characters with 4,000 base power and a Trigger ability become 8,000 base power — a massive passive buff to a wide range of Big Mom Pirates.

  • Edward Newgate (OP17-005) — SR: Cost 10 / 12,000 Power. If your opponent controls a Character with 10,000+ power, Newgate costs 4 less to play. On Play, his Leader's base power becomes 8,000 until the end of your opponent's next End Phase.

  • Usopp (OP17-080) — SR: Cost 2 / 2,000 Power, Elbaf/Straw Hat Crew. If there is a Character with a cost of 12 or more on the field, Usopp gains +3,000 power. On Play, look at the top 3 cards of your deck, add up to 1 Elbaf-type card to your hand, and trash the rest — excellent toolbox support for the Giants archetype.

  • Monkey D. Luffy (OP17-093) — SR: Cost 8 / 8,000 Power. If there is a Character with a cost of 12 or more, Luffy gains Rush. On Play, draw a card and play a Character with cost 2 or less from your trash for free.

SP cards featuring Zoro and Oden have also been referenced by tracker networks.

Why This Set Matters for UK Collectors

The global simultaneous launch on 26 August removes the import premium that has historically inflated UK prices during the gap between Japanese and English release dates. Every UK player gets access to OP-17 on the same day as the Japanese market — and that is a genuinely significant change to how you should approach pre-ordering and collection strategy.

The previous anniversary booster, OP-13 Carrying On His Will (November 2025), became one of the most expensive modern One Piece sets almost immediately after release. OP-17 carries an identical anniversary tag and adds the Treasure Rare rarity above SEC — a chase slot that remains unrevealed and will likely drive significant demand once it is announced.

Pre-orders are already live at UK retailers. With the spoiler season now in full flow and fresh reveals expected daily through early August, this is the time to get ahead of allocations.
