One Piece Card Game OP-18: Amano Secret Rares, Franky's Leader Debut, and Everything That Makes The Dominance of God a Must-Watch Set
By TCG Listing · 29 Sept 2026

Spoiler season for OP-18 The Dominance of God is under way, and the confirmed cards already include Yoshitaka Amano artwork, Franky's first-ever Leader card, and a brand-new Leader Parallel rarity — here's what UK collectors need to know.
OP-18 The Dominance of God is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious One Piece Card Game sets to date. With a November 2026 release window confirmed and fresh reveals arriving on the official English X account, now is the time to get across the key cards, collector targets, and structural changes this set brings to the table.
A Simultaneous Global Release — Finally
One of the most welcome pieces of news for UK players is that Bandai has confirmed a simultaneous worldwide release for OP-18. Previous sets often saw English territories waiting weeks behind the Japanese launch, giving importers and secondary-market flippers a head start. That gap looks set to close this time around: the English version is confirmed to land at the same time as the Japanese one, meaning UK retailers and players are on an equal footing from day one. A specific date within November has not yet been officially confirmed — various retailer listings point to late November, with 20 November and 28 November both appearing in pre-order catalogues — so treat any precise date as provisional until Bandai makes a formal announcement.
The Two Themes: Water Seven Meets the God's Knights
OP-18 brings together two very different corners of the One Piece universe. On one side sits Water Seven, one of the most beloved arcs in the manga, with Franky and Nico Robin among the characters receiving prominent card treatments. On the other, the God's Knights — central antagonists in the current Elbaf/Imu thread of the manga — make a major push into the card game, with Saint Gunko and Saint Shamrock both confirmed to appear, the latter receiving a particularly high-profile treatment.
The pairing of a classic fan-favourite arc with cutting-edge manga content is a smart move. It gives longtime players a hit of nostalgia while rewarding readers following the current story, broadening the set's appeal across the community.
Franky Gets His First-Ever Leader Card
Among the confirmed Leader cards, Franky (OP18-021) stands out for a simple reason: it is the first time the Straw Hat Pirates' shipwright has ever appeared as a Leader. He arrives as a Green/Purple dual-colour Leader, a combination that opens up Stage-focused and resource-building strategies that suit his character well. Alongside him, Saint Gunko (OP18-060) joins as a Purple/Black Leader, bringing the God's Knights faction into a colour pairing with plenty of aggressive and controlling possibilities.
Dual-colour Leaders have consistently driven competitive interest in recent sets, and both of these look to have strong deck-building potential. Expect Franky in particular to attract a lot of attention — the character has a dedicated fanbase, and his Leader debut has been a long time coming.
Yoshitaka Amano's Secret Rares
The biggest collector talking point is the pair of Secret Rare cards illustrated by Yoshitaka Amano, the legendary artist best known internationally for his iconic Final Fantasy artwork. The two confirmed Amano cards feature Loki and Saint Shamrock. Amano's painterly, dreamlike style is immediately distinctive against the card game's usual illustration approach, and Secret Rares with guest artist credentials from this calibre of talent tend to become the headline chase cards of their respective sets. If OP-17 and OP-16 are any guide, these will command serious secondary-market attention on release.
A New Leader Parallel Treatment
Beyond the individual cards, OP-18 introduces a new Leader Parallel Art style — a fresh collector rarity applied to some of the set's biggest Leader cards. The visual direction of these Parallels is described as distinct from previous sets, giving them an immediately recognisable look. For collectors who have been chasing alternate-art Leaders since the game launched, this is a new tier to target, and it adds another layer of value to the set's highest-end pulls.
Set Structure
The confirmed product information points to OP-18 containing 126 card types plus one DON!! card, with booster boxes containing 24 packs of six cards each — consistent with recent mainline sets. Full rarity breakdowns and alternate-art counts have not yet been officially confirmed, so the total card count including parallels and Secret Rares is still to be revealed as spoiler season progresses.
What to Watch For
Spoiler reveals are being posted to the official One Piece Card Game English X account in the lead-up to launch. With Water Seven's deep roster of characters and the God's Knights still largely unexplored in the card game, there is plenty of room for significant reveals before the full card list drops. Keep an eye on UK retailer pre-order pages for stock updates and, once a firm date is confirmed, for any release-event information at your local game store.
