A Genuinely Historic First

Since the Pokémon TCG debuted in Japan in October 1996, every single set has followed the same pattern: Japan first, the rest of the world later — usually two to three months behind. 30th Celebration breaks that entirely. It is the first Pokémon TCG set in the game's history to launch worldwide on a single day, meaning the secondary market has no early Japanese data to price off, and no importer advantage to chase. Launch week will be genuinely unpredictable, and for UK collectors that is mostly good news.

What's Inside the Set

The set is built around spectacle. Every pack contains an all-foil card lineup, and every single pack is guaranteed to include a Pikachu card — one of 30 different illustrations, each representing a different moment across three decades of the franchise. Beyond Pikachu, the headline addition is the brand-new Futuristic Rare rarity, debuting on Mew ex and Mewtwo ex cards with a striking visual treatment unlike anything currently in the game. The standard UK product wave includes Elite Trainer Boxes, booster packs, and the 30th Celebration Premium Deck Set (Espeon & Umbreon). Pokémon Center is also offering an exclusive Elite Trainer Box variant — it comes with 11 booster packs rather than the standard nine, plus two full-art promo cards featuring Nidorina, one of which carries the Pokémon Center logo.

The 30th Celebration set sits squarely in the middle of 2026's Mega Evolution era, which has been the dominant theme of the English TCG this year.
