Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration: Full Product Breakdown — Eight Days to Go

The 30th Celebration set lands on 16 September, and with less than a week and a half left, here is every product confirmed for launch day and what makes each one worth picking up.

The wait is almost over. Pokémon TCG's 30th Celebration set arrives on 16 September 2026, and with just eight days to go it is time to take a close look at every product hitting shelves — so you can decide exactly what to grab on day one.

Why This Set Is Different

The 30th Celebration is not a standard expansion. It is an all-foil anniversary release: every single card in the set is a foil, and the set introduces the brand-new Futuristic Rare rarity, headlined by Mew ex and Mewtwo ex cards. On top of that, the expansion includes 30 classic reprints from throughout the TCG's history and 30 uniquely illustrated Pikachu cards — one for each year.

Perhaps most notably, this is the first Pokémon TCG set ever to launch simultaneously worldwide, meaning UK collectors are on equal footing with players in Japan, North America, and everywhere else from the moment doors open on 16 September.

What's in Each Booster Pack

Every 30th Celebration booster pack contains five foil cards — including one of those 30 Pikachu rare cards — plus one foil Basic Energy. These packs will not be sold individually; they are only available through the products listed below, so the product you choose determines how many packs you get.

The Core Launch Products

Elite Trainer Box — The standard ETB is the go-to option for most collectors, containing nine 30th Celebration booster packs alongside the usual assortment of sleeves, dice, and accessories.

Pokémon Center Exclusive Elite Trainer Box — If you order direct from the Pokémon Center, the exclusive version includes 11 booster packs (two more than the standard ETB) and two full-art promo cards featuring Nidorina — one of which carries the Pokémon Center logo stamp. For collectors who value exclusive promos, this is the standout product of the launch wave.

Day and Night Theme Tins — Leaning into the set's day and night theme, two collector tins are available at launch. Each tin features a striking illustration of a fan-favourite Pokémon, includes two 30th Celebration booster packs, a sticker sheet, and an art insert card.

Promo Collections (Alolan Exeggutor & Lucario) — These smaller collections each contain a foil promo card and a tech sticker sheet featuring either Alolan Exeggutor or Lucario, paired with three 30th Celebration booster packs. They are an affordable entry point and a nice way to grab the promo cards without committing to a larger product.

30th Celebration Premium Deck Set (Espeon & Umbreon) — This premium product leans into the day and night duality at the heart of the set. Specific contents beyond the Espeon and Umbreon focus have not been fully detailed yet, but it is expected to be a higher-price-point collector item.

Ultra Premium Collection — A high-end box is also confirmed for the launch window, though full product details are still to be announced.

Battle Decks — Two Level 2 Battle Decks themed around day and night are releasing towards the end of October 2026, a few weeks after the main set drop. These are aimed at casual play rather than competitive league use, making them a great gift option for newer players.

What to Prioritise

If you are buying for the collection rather than to play, the Pokémon Center ETB is the best value per pack and comes with the exclusive Nidorina promos. Stock of Pokémon Center exclusives tends to move quickly, so it is worth pre-ordering now if you have not already.

For players who want to crack packs with friends from day one, the standard ETB or a couple of the promo collections are the most straightforward options. The tins are a fun low-spend entry point if you just want a taste of the set.

The 30th Celebration is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious anniversary sets the TCG has ever produced. With packs exclusive to bundled products, every box you open is its own complete experience — and with eight days to go, now is the time to make sure your order is locked in.
