Pokémon TCG Delta Reign: Prereleases Are Live This Weekend — Here's What UK Players Need to Know

Delta Reign prerelease events are running from today, 24 October, through to 1 November at participating UK game stores. The full set lands on 6 November — here is everything you need ahead of release day.

Delta Reign prerelease weekend is here. If you have been following the Mega Evolution era, this is the moment you have been waiting for: Mega Rayquaza ex is finally in hand, and local game stores across the UK are running events right now.

What Is Happening This Weekend

Prerelease events for Mega Evolution: Delta Reign run from 24 October to 1 November 2026 at participating independent retailers and Play! Pokémon venues. That is two full weekends, giving you a good chance of finding a nearby event even if this weekend does not work for you.

At a prerelease you play with a Build & Battle Box — a 40-card deck built from four booster packs and a stamped promo card, played with four Prize cards instead of six. The format is deliberately approachable, so if you have never played in a store event before, prerelease weekend is a genuinely good starting point alongside experienced collectors.

The Set at a Glance

Delta Reign is the sixth English Mega Evolution expansion (ME06), and it is the final main set of 2026. The set contains 140 cards in total: 103 main-set cards and 37 secret rares, headlined by Mega Rayquaza ex. Joining it are three other new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex — Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex, and Mega Golisopod ex — along with six special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards.

The Elite Trainer Box carries a Kyogre illustration rare as its exclusive promo, pulled from the Japanese counterpart set Storm Emeralda rather than appearing in the main English set.

UK Release Date and Where to Buy

The full set releases in the UK on 6 November 2026 — the same day worldwide. Pokémon TCG Live gets the set a day early on 5 November if you want to try cards digitally first.

For physical product, the main places to check in the UK are Pokémon Center UK, Smyths Toys, Argos, and Amazon UK. Based on pricing across the rest of the Mega Evolution series, expect Elite Trainer Boxes around £49.99 at Smyths and booster bundles around £24.99 — though official Delta Reign UK prices had not been confirmed at the time of writing, so treat those figures as a guide rather than a guarantee.

Pokémon Center UK takes pre-orders by card only, charges at the point of shipping, and limits quantities per customer. The first wave of ETB and booster box pre-orders on the Pokémon Center sold out within hours of opening in late September, so if you have not secured pre-order stock, retail shelves on 6 November and restocks thereafter are your best options.

The Build & Battle Box — the same kit used at prerelease events — reaches general retail slightly later, on 20 November, so if you are after one as a standalone purchase rather than attending an event, factor that date in.

The Bigger Picture

Delta Reign closes out a remarkably busy year for the Pokémon TCG. Six English sets have launched in 2026 on an approximately eight-week cadence, and no 2027 English expansion has been announced yet. That makes Delta Reign the last main set for collectors to focus on for the foreseeable future — and with Mega Rayquaza ex returning to the TCG for the first time since the XY era, the set carries real weight both competitively and for long-term collectors.

If you are heading to a prerelease this weekend, good luck with your pulls — and keep an eye on TCG Listing for the best Delta Reign singles prices as the market settles after 6 November.
